Stephen Curry was born on March 14, 1988, in Akron, Ohio, but he grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina, where his father, Dell Curry, played in the NBA. However, despite this early exposure, he did not fit the typical image of a future basketball star. He was smaller, thinner, and less physically imposing than most of his peers.
